Trevor has extensive knowledge of the charitable and public sectors in the UK, and has also worked internationally, including a period in Guatemala & Honduras. Trevor’s public sector career has encompassed the NHS, Civil Service, HM Prison Service and in the private sector,  marketing, publishing and Conference production (UK and internationally). Trevor is currently a non executive director of Amber Housing, and previously served as a Trustee with several Care, Support & Housing charities. Trevor also served as a Council member of the Royal College of Nursing of the United Kingdom and he is currently a member of the RCN International Committee. Trevor is Chair of the National Liberal Club Commonwealth Forum, regularly leading delegations to commonwealth countries.

In 2021, Trevor attended COP26 in Glasgow as part of the CHEC delegates team.
