Dr. T.I. Khan

Dr. T. I. Khan is the Director of the Indira Ghandi Centre for Human Ecology, Environment Studies and Population Studies at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He has held several academic posts in India, including Professor of Environmental Sciences at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh. He has served on the board of the Society for Human Ecology (SHE), and has published numerous books and papers on environmental science and sustainable development.
His PhD – from the University of Rajasthan – was in Environmental Biology and Environmental Ecology. Dr. Khan then went on to study consumer exploitation of vegetation in Rajasthan during his post-doctorate, at the university’s Department of Botany. Dr. Khan’s primary interests continue to be in the areas of community needs, biodiversity conservation, and pesticide toxicity.
