Presidency Programme of Events

The Presidency Programme of Events covers the main negotiations that will take place between world leaders at COP26.

Tuesday sees the continuation of the two-day long World Leader's Summit. The summit will see World Leaders who didn't speak yesterday give their opening statements.

The schedule for day 2 of the summit is as follows:

• By 08:45 - Arrival of Heads of State and Government at Conference venue
• 09:00-17:00 - National Statements
• 17:00-17:30 - World Leaders Summit Closing Ceremony

Green Zone Programme of Events

The Green Zone Programme of Events sees youth groups, civil society, academia, artists and businesses host events, exhibitions, cultural performances, workshops and talks throughout COP26.

On Tuesday, there are another 16 events planned as part of the Green Zone Programme of Events. With all but 4 being livestreams there's lots for you to follow.

Event Description: This panel discussion will provide great insights into how we can shift our approach to health, so that it cares for both people and planet. It will approach issues through a variety of perspectives including the consideration of the environmentally damaging effects of nitrous oxide, a ‘greenhouse gas’ used in anaesthesia, to initiatives on wellbeing in conflict and post-conflict regions, such as Iraq.

Event Description: This seminar examines the ‘living lab’ linked to UCLan’s ICSC and conceived as a site of practical, co-creative experimentation and learning. Shikha Eco-Learning (Shicol) is based at an eco-village in rural eastern India and focuses on regenerative agricultural practices and alternative education. The seminar presents a panel discussion about processes leading from concept stage to on-the-ground implementation, including pitfalls, re-orientations, and workarounds.
